In 2011, Dr. Rubinfeld, armed with an MBA from The University of Hong Kong Business School, returned to the United States with a transformative mission—to revive American-made manufacturing and weave it into the fabric of local communities. What began as an idea and passion project has evolved into a tangible reality, thanks to the dedicated team of artisans assembled by Dr. Rubinfeld, drawn from both the fine jewelry and eyewear sectors.
Our journey led us to the renowned Morez Eyewear school in France, where the eyewear industry originated in 1880. The historic connection between the United States and France became the natural training ground for the Morez Eyewear project.
With dual but parallel missions, Morez Eyewear pioneers the creation of custom 3D printed eyewear for U.S. veterans with head and face injuries, ensuring a comfortable fit through personalized designs. Simultaneously, we offer tailored handmade acetate eyewear, empowering clients to actively participate in the design process, choosing sizing, shapes, and colors from our extensive database of designs.
Our production technology is at the forefront of innovation, featuring CNCs from Italy, the Genera G1/F1 3D Printer System from Austria, and various other cutting-edge equipment from across Europe. The acetate we use is sourced from esteemed suppliers in Italy (Mazzucchelli) and France (Décoracet), complemented by our in-house designs. Our hardware, including hinges, screws, and temple cores, hails from Germany (OBE).
At Morez Eyewear, we are dedicated to bringing your dreams to reality, offering a spectrum of possibilities, from customized 3D printed eyewear to exquisite handmade acetate frames tailored to your unique vision and style.
